Susan Small

Susan Small was a British ready to wear firm, founded in the 1940s by Leslie Carr Jones. In 1947 it became part of the Model House Group along side Horrockses and others (this later became the Fashion House Group)
The label aimed at a high-end market, advertising in Vogue regularly, the image below is their special advert for coronation year.
Their chief designer Maureen Baker, who was with the company since 1943, designed the wedding dress for Princess Anne in 1973, and went on to run her own label.
Susan Small ceased trading in the 1970s and the designs are now very collectable.
